Call the Technology Resource Center located in Room 555 at 555-555-5555.
2. What equipment is available for classroom use?
We have 5 LCD projectors, 30 laptops, 2 Plasma monitors, 30 iPods, 20 iPads, 10 digital cameras and 5 digital camcorders.
3. What software is installed on the classroom computers and laptops?
The classrooms have Dell PCs running Windows XP Professional with Office 2007 (Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) installed. All AntiVirus and security updates are performed automatically. If you need special software, please call the Technology Resource Center at 555-555-555 or email techhelp@teamb.edu
4. Can I save data on the hard drives of the computers?
Yes, each computer has a classroom folder on the network drive. Please save all work to your classroom folder. If you need assistance with how to do this, please call 555-555-5555 and a Technology Specialist will assist you.
5. Should I shut down the computer when I am finished?
No, Please select the Log Off function.
6. Can I play DVD's?
Yes. If you experience difficulty in getting a DVD to play, please contact the Technology Resource enter helpline at 555-555-5555 and a Technology Specialist will assist you.
7. How can I connect my laptop to the projector or other display?
Connecting cables can be found hanging from a wall plate in each classroom.
8. What if the specific equipment I need for class is not available for my classroom?
You can submit requests for classroom upgrades or loaner equipment to techrequests@teamb.edu.
9. Is there Internet connection in my classroom?
Yes, there is wireless Internet access in all of the classrooms.
10. I want to use my Mac Powerbook in the classroom to display presentations and applications. Is there anything special I need to know about hooking it up to the projector?
If they are running on an Apple laptop then depending on your laptop you will need a dongle. We will have a 15 pin VGA connection and a DVI-D connection. The dongle will have to take the connection/signal that the laptop provides and make it work with what we provide.
