What are the general expectations for all members of the team?

 

(Glenda) Everyone check into the team forum daily, participate fully, and communicate quickly and clearly.

  

(Mary) Good communication, honesty, respect of team members and their ideas, cooperation, follow through on commitments.

 

(Kahla) Good communication, respects others, and participates.

 

(Janet)-Be responsible towards team, collaborate if needed, and support and value team member’s ideas and suggestions.

 

 Expectations for Time Management and Involvement

 

(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)

 

(Glenda) Everyone should participate and contribute in discussions and assignments.

 

(Mary) Posting as soon as we can would be ideal, understanding that things do come up, we are all professional adults – communicate with at least one other team member outside of the OLS would be great if there is a problem.

 

(Kahla) I believe that we should check in often and let the team know if there is going to be a conflict of times.  Assignments should be posted a day in advance so they can be reviewed.

 

(Janet)-Teams should take care of each other.  Team members should check-in on the UOP system on a regular basis.

 

Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration

 

What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?

 

(Glenda) Team assignments will be posted, outlined and broken into tasks on a timely basis.  If there is a problem with a team member not contributing, then we will reach out to find out if there is a problem and if we can pitch in to help.  Team members should notify the other team members as soon as possible if they are unable to complete a task.  Conflicts will be resolved by a majority decision by the team.

  

(Mary) Being mindful of other’s time, open communication and even division – it is all about respect.

 

(Kahla) Understanding and respecting others, and openly communicating.

 

(Janet)-Team members will communicate effectively in regards to assignments and supports the needs to the team.

  

Special Considerations

 

What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team experiences?

 

 (Glenda) We should back up each other.  This team should always be present on the day of deadlines to see if additional work needs to be done even if individuals have finished their parts.  At least one other team member should be available during the time before the upload process and for upload other than the person who is compiling and uploading the assignment.

 

 (Mary) Open communication (flexibility when necessary).

 

(Kahla) Respect, communication, and honesty.
